Alex

Alex recently graduated from South Forsyth HS (Cumming, GA) where he received the International Baccalaureate Diploma and the International Skills Diploma Seal in German.  He was a member of the German Honor Society, the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and the National Honor Society.  He lettered in Marching Band all four years, played the Sousaphone, and was a General Leader for the War Eagle Marching Band.  He also played the Trombone in concert band.  Alex was the member of 3 State Champion German Quiz Bowl teams and the recipient of a Gold (top 10% of all scores), 2 Silver (top 20%), and a Bronze (top 30%) Award on the National German Language Test.  In addition, he was selected to attend a German exchange program with the German American Partnership Program.  Unfortunately, due to COVID, the program was cancelled.

Alex is an Eagle Scout from Troop 143 in Johns Creek.  He attended NYLT, was elected to the Order of the Arrow (Scout Honor Society) and attended all 4 BSA High Adventure Camps for his Grand Slam of High Adventure.

Alex is attending the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where he is a member of the Honors College and recently was named to the Dean's List for his first semester.  He is Majoring in Management Information Systems  with a minor in German and he is considering a second minor.  Alex was recently initiated into Theta Xi Fraternity and is excited to continue his journey with good brothers.  Alex also recently followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Robert Forsyth Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

During the past 2 summers, Alex has been a lifeguard for Sweetwater Pools at many pools in the local area.  He also gives private swim lessons to young swimmers.  For Summer '23, Alex was a lead lifeguard for Sweetwater and managing a team of lifeguards for a community pool.
